John Bonee, J. D. Law ’74, was awarded by his alma mater, Trinity College of Hartford, class of 1970, the college’s Alumni Medal for Excellence on June 7, 2025. The medal is awarded annually by the college president at reunion convocation to alumni who have made significant contributions to their professions, their communities and to Trinity College. For Trinity: established a student exchange program with Makerere University, Kampala, upon graduation, and thereafter served as class reunion Committee Program Chair, Class Executive Board, Class Notes Sec. at various times; for law profession: served as Hartford County Bar Assoc., President, Connecticut Bar Association, Board of Gov. and House of Delegates, and ABA House; for community: Town of West Hartford, Ct. Town Council and Board of Education. Presently engaged in private practice as a sr. partner, BoneeWeintraub LLC of W. Hfd. focusing on estate planning/administration, and civil and estate litigation.
